Mixed Media Artist, Cheryl Edmunds first picked up a paintbrush at age 10, igniting a lifelong passion for creativity. During the pandemic, she rediscovered this passion, using painting as a way to cope with stress and isolation. What began as a simple pastime evolved into a daily meditation practice.
Cheryl uses the Gelli Plate to create textured papers for her collages, initially experimenting with the process and now creating powerful, expressive art. Her work has evolved to advocate for women's rights, reflecting her support for women’s causes. Her artwork features women of all ethnicities uniting for shared causes. Many of her pieces feature asemic writing—illegible scribbles that include affirmations, motivational quotes, scriptures, and sayings.
Spanning more than 40 years, Cheryl’s artistic journey showcases her enduring love for painting, typography, and photography, blending these elements into a cohesive and vibrant style. This rich background informs her work, allowing her to create pieces that resonate with emotion and inspiration.
Cheryl has over 20 years of experience in interior design and home staging, where her keen eye for color and detail is evident in everything she creates.
